The Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast
announced today its slate of nominees for election as bishop. They are:
THE REV. JAMES RUSSELL KENDRICK
Rector, St. Stephens Episcopal Church | Birmingham, Alabama
The Reverend Russell Kendrick is the Rector of St. Stephens, Birmingham,
Alabama, a position he has held since 2007. In 1984 he earned Bachelors of
Arts in Architecture and Marketing from Auburn University, and in 1995 a
Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. Russell is married
to Robin; they have two children.
THE VERY REV. EDWARD FRANCIS O'CONNOR
Dean, Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew | Jackson, Mississippi
The Very Reverend Edward O'Connor has been the Dean of Cathedral Parish of
St Andrew, Jackson, Mississippi since March 2007. He holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science from University of Mississippi, a Master of
Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Southern
Mississippi in 1993, and a Master of Divinity from University of the South
earned in 2001. Edward is married to Deidra; they have three children.
THE REV. CANON DR. E. DANIEL SMITH
Canon to the Ordinary, Diocese of Missouri | St. Louis, Missouri
The Reverend Canon Smith is currently the Canon to the Ordinary for the
Diocese of Missouri, a position he has held since 2003. He earned a
Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Central Florida, Orlando,
Florida in 1978, a Master of Divinity from Nashotah House of Theological
Seminary in 1981, and a Doctor of Ministry in Congregational Development
from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in 2001. Dan is married to
Evelyn; they have two children.
THE REV. DR. WILLIAM C. TREADWELL III
Rector, St. Paul's Episcopal Church | Waco, Texas
The Reverend William C. Treadwell has been the Rector of St. Paul's in
Waco, Texas since 2004. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
from the Georgetown College in 1982, his Master of Divinity from the School
of Theology, University of the South in 1989 and his Doctor of Ministry
from School of Theology, University of the South in 2014. Chuck is married
to Christine; they have three children.
