Seriously, and in a strange way it's a sweet little song--I think it's by Robin and Linda Williams. The singer is remembering a childhood of poverty with no money for Christmas ornaments. But shotgun shells are shiny gold and copper and sparkle when they're hung on a Christmas tree... (I'm assuming they were empty!)
