USA North Americans seem not to be enthralled with the more
gourmet marmalades with lots of shaved orange peel --- "Too bitter."

It is the same with the various soft, ripened cheeses --- "Too smelley."

Both gourmet marmalades and soft cheeses are available, especially
in the upscale markets (in the NE USA that usually means Wegman's)
and the majority who don't like them don't know what they're missing.
