David,
Make sure your insurance will cover the entire DPT booster. I wanted to get it, because I had had a suspected case of whooping cough a couple of years ago and had never had the adult booster.
Because I'm over 65, however, Medicare wouldn't cover that part of the vaccine--only the tetanus part. Paying for the other out of pocket would have cost me about $300.
So I just got the tetanus shot.
