[Magdalen] Electronic Bill Paying.

I discovered just before coming away that I can now amend my list of standing orders and direct debits on line.  Now all I need to do is find out how to prune the list of payees for direct transfers as I don't need to keep the solicitor through whom I bought my apartment on the list.  I find it a lot more convenient than writibng a cheque and posting it, and the recipient gets the cleared funds straight away..

I do all my bills through my bank's bill pay system, that means I also don’t pay postage on the bills.

The only untoward incident I've had in 3-4 years was one acquaintance from whom I bought some used books, and when the envelope from the bank came with hi check -- he threw it away thinking it was an ad. The next check, his wife threw away without opening -- again thinking it was an ad.

Oh well.
