I never met her in person, but her generous, warm-hearted spirit came through to me a couple years ago when she offered to make a list of her record collection dating back to the 1950s, and whichever ones I wanted she'd personally pack up and ship to me free of charge.  Never happened, of course, but I'm sure during the brief time she remembered she'd so offered, that she truly intended to make it happen.
