[Magdalen] Disappointment

Matthew came home for a few days (no, that’s not the disappointment!).  He’s had several conversations with the Powers-That-Be in the Louisiana Democratic Party, and it happens that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has pulled funding for the Louisiana Senate race run-off.  That means that the Metairie office is closed, and most of the paid employees are leaving for other things.  IOW, the Louisiana Democratic Party is conceding the election to the Republican candidate.

Matthew has some other prospects, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing for him, but it adds to the political fiasco for Democrats in this past election.
