Try Googling ermine and ferret, at least. If it looks like it might be a Black-footed Ferret (unlikely), contact your local conservation or wildlife organization, because they are trying to conserve them and bring them back in some areas. Getting a photo, if you see it again, would be very helpful for the ID. Phone cams are very handy...
