Or perhaps routed in compassion for people with primitive non-Christian 
religions or non-Christian ideas superimposed whose non-Western  ideas result in 
superstition that feeds such things as Ebola outbreaks, Rwandan Genocide and the 
like.

Of course some have embraced Western ideas completely to the detriment of their 
population -- consider Nigeria and Oil, for example.

I don’t think romanticizing the "African Way" is at all helpful, and ceertainly 
the liberal guilt over Colonialism simply menas more death and more poverty.
