We got a few inches yesterday of really dense snow. I was amazed how hard
it was to shovel. I was hearing what sounded like carpentry work as I was
out shovelling. Now I realize it was branches breaking. Power kept going
on-off-on for some time, and finally it went out for good at eight pm, Wed.
eve.>>>>>

We had a good eight inches of very heavy snow. The trees are to the
breaking point. The shoveling crew I have cleaned it up from the steps and
the driveway at about 11 PM when the snow had stopped. I have lots of
lights on the driveway so it's easy for them to see there after dark.

Then, to my surprise, I put out the dogs at 7 AM and there had been
another inch and it was still lightly snowing.

The power went out once for just a few seconds - enough to disable
all the digital clocks, etc. I was on the computer at the time, and lost
what
I was writing. My computer does not like power outages, and takes quite
awhile to reboot.

It was a mess driving on the area freeways yesterday (I-81, I-80, I-84,
I-476 - NE Turnpike) and there were a myriad of accidents including the
ubiquitous jack-knifed tractor-trailers. PA 309 - a four lane State
Highway -
was especially bad yesterday, apparently. Thank God I didn't have to
drive in it all.
