[Magdalen] I hate Wal-Mart

They exist, and I avoid them.  It doesn't cost any more to have a cashier
check me out, and it helps keep someone employed.  The transfer of employee
work onto customers (e.g., self-service gas stations) is just one piece of
the lack of employment and the softening of wages over the last 30-40 years.
