I am sure his sermons are suffering in length.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite stories:
Two old black men, Sam and Joe, were sitting in church listening to their
preacher.  Sam kept nodding off.  Joe kept nudging him to stay awake.
Finally, Joe whispers, "How come you keep falling asleep?"  Sam whispers
back, "Lordy, I wish he were done!"  Joe whispers back, "Oh, he's done, he
just ain't finished yet!"
