Not necessarily. Some cases involve hourly rates, some are flat rate, some 
involve a percentage of the judgment.

In the U.S., if this involves a substantial amount of money, Marion would find a 
lawyer who'd take it for a percentage -- maybe 30% or so.

Don’t know about how these things get charged in Canada, but Marion receiving 
these papers directly leads me to believe she does not have a good lawyer.
