[Magdalen] Youth Sunday

Today was Youth Sunday at the Lutheran church I've been attending. The
teenagers were really serious and really sweet and they seem like a great
bunch of kids. Pastor Jeff said in his announcements before the service
that this is one of the best youth groups he's ever mentored,  thoughtful,
friendly, helpful, and completely un-clique-y. Usually something untoward
happens on a Sunday like this (at least it always did in my former
experience) but everything went off without a hitch. Well, except for my
errant thoughts during their offertory anthem. They were doing a nifty
little rhythmic thing, sort of a round, that they were simultaneously
signing as they sang. Which would have been fine if it had been a unison
song, but with three different parts going at once, it looked like a swarm
of something had gotten loose up there and I was hard-pressed not to
giggle. I didn't dare look around to see if anyone else had similar
thoughts.
