They can't refine the Bakken Crude fast enough, and the rail traffic in oil 
means it can get wherever there's capacity, rather than through captive 
pipelines (often geared toward export of gasoline and diesel). Warren Buffet 
makes the profit through BNSF  instead of the Koch Bros.still-born Keystone XL, 
FWIW <g>.

The other factor is Saudi Arabia -- pumping more to keep their market share, 
driving down the price per barrel. The Lagniappe is that countries like Russia 
and Iran -- both of which depend on oil profits for half or more t=of the 
nation's budget -- are increasing hurting. At some point, Russian adventures in 
the Ukraine and Iran's Nuclear program will be simply unsustainable if this 
keeps up.
