[Magdalen] gas prices?

Some people this side of the pond are doing the same due to a change the government made some years ago.  When I first qualified as aq driver I needed to renew my licence every 3 years.  They then changed the design of the licence to a paper sheet which was valid until the driver turned 70. In 1998 they issued a two part licence - a credit card sized plastic one and a paper counterpart. Anybody who changed name or address after June 1999, as well as those who got their licence from 1998 on, needed a two-part licence.

What is not so well known is that another change was made at the same time.  The licence is only valid for 10 years and then needs to be renewed.  It is thought that there are quite a number of people driving around with expired licences because they don't realise this, and that makes their car insurance invalid as well.

My dear partner seems to have forgotten to renew his driving license. He will go do that tomorrow via L and a pedway.
