or at least driving through it, and there is a lot of Georgia between Chattanooga and Summerville SC, and the gas is expensive compared with elsewhere.  .  There is a British comedy TV programme in which invited guests are asked to nominate their pet hates for consignment to Room 101, never to be seen again, if the host agrees with the proposal.  I am currently in Room 101 at the hotel.  Comments are not necessary :-)

After 7 hrs 25 minutes travelling, with the expected delays around Atlanta but otherwise relatively uneventful (apart from the poor quality of the road surface in parts)  I am looking forward to dinner this evening with Ginga and John Wilder at the home of some friends of theirs from church.  A cold diet cola with ice has helped set me up for that. Slightly more angst-producing is the prospect of presiding at the Eucharist according to the Episcopal Church's Rite Two for only the second time ever.  The other time was years ago when we had a list meet in Rome.
