I could have hung on to patience for about another two minutes and
avoided blowing up. But finding that suddenly I was the indecisive one
about afternoon plans, I was in the wrong for no reason, was a scowl
too far. I had plans for self-care (solitude) that as far as I knew
meshed nicely with his plans to go somewhere with his dad. Suddenly
those weren't the plans, I didn't know that, and I was supposed to
have dictated some new ones. Nope.

So here we sit in the good ol' apartment on a gorgeous Sunday
afternoon (having not partaken of the parish picnic because of those
ethereal previous plans). I'm close to tears that the argument
happened, but it felt unavoidable and involuntary.
