The turnout is staggering...this from a BBC live blog...

In East Lothian, they are reporting that at least 94% of postal votes
have been returned - the authority's previous record was 65%.

Elsewhere, the Dumfries count reports a 95.5% return rate on postal
votes. And there may be some handed into polling stations.
