Ah, yes, the Venite (Vay - nigh - tee).  When I got home from
my local Methodist church, I tuned in to services alternating
one week from Saint Mark's Cathedral, Minneapolis, and
one week from Saint John the Evangelist, Saint Paul on WTCN.
 
The same Anglican chant Venite was used by both parishes, and
I could sing it by rote even though I wasn't an Episcopalian at the
time!  Ditto the Scottish Gloria sung once per month for the
communion liturgy.
