The annual International Medieval Conference, attended by a couple
thousand medievalists is in, of all places, Western Michigan  University
at Kalamazoo.
 
I used to go yearly for the medieval art and architecture lectures.
A highlight of the conference, though, was always a trip to St.  Gregory's
Abbey and Solemn Evensong.  They did it very well.
