A couple of observations:

Literacy is one of the crowning achievements of the modern era.
It pleases me to know most of us *can* follow by reading along.

Accustomed as I've been to worshipping at the monastery (and
in other monastic groups), the idea of "custody of the eyes" is
important to me. That's one of the reasons communities wore
cowls, etc. (although central heating is another crowning
achievement of the modern era, IMO).
