Well, Jim, I looked at the Snopes site, and it appears that they are
considering this "undetermined," not necessarily a hoax.  Some of the
pictures being circulated are apparently old ones, and they're pointing out
that stories about atrocities committed by the enemy are common and widely
circulated during times of conflict to galvanize opinion against the other
side.  I didn't get the feeling that they were rejecting the wole thing out
of hand, though.
