I liked him, and have watched NBC News for decades.
 
He obviously must have had some screws loose to have embellished
a number of his own experiences, particularly when they have to do
with military adventures.  USA veterans don't countenance  any
unjustified claims, and it was a military helicopter adventure that
proved to be his Waterloo.  
 
I guess he could come off as being somewhat imperious, but I
