[Magdalen] History in chalkboards

This article is about a school in Oklahoma which decided to replace its
aging chalkboards.  When they took the boards down, they found older
chalkboards behind them, with much of what had been on them still intact.
 (several pictures) It is as if the students paused in their work, went
away, and just never came back, and the workmen simply put the new boards
over the old without disturbing them. My wife said it is as if they knew
that someday, someone would come and want to see what education was like
back in 1917.

I found the school system quite interesting.  They have a G-clef with three
sharps, and the key of A is clearly indicated in solmizing syllables!
