[Magdalen] Thunder.

Well, maybe the rain came up here - the past three days ~1/10" predicted,
but we got 1/4 to 1/3" on each day. But, as the qualifications said, "more
in thunderstorms", which we did have.
And, Lynn, anytime you want to enjoy summers like you had in Syracuse (but
maybe just a bit cooler) instead of that Texas sauna you live in, we do have
a spare room. It's gotten above 90F only once this summer and the predicted
high today is 72.
We've had plenty of rain this summer and things are growing like mad. Peas
are just about done and green beans are just ready now. I've never seen so
many wild red raspberries, and the wild blackberries look to be
overwhelming. Looks like we may have to break down and finally go buy a
separate freezer.

I realize weather forecasting is an inexact science, but the weather
authorities seem to be especially unable to forecast in the NE Pennsylvania
region.
For example, if we had as much summer rain as they actually forecasted,
we'd all be in the Arc. Maybe once in ten tries they are on the money.
Strangely, the weather people cannot even predict the weather in a given
area the day before, or even on the morning of a day.
Thus, IMHO, they should stick to weather reporting. They can look
out the window and report rain, and such statistics as the temperature.
Why bother with "forecasts?"
