I think if one truly believes the geneticists, most of us could  be called
"African-Americans".
 
I see that some genetic studies recently have suggested that there  was
another immigration into the Americas besides the generally held  Bering
Sea scheme currently popular for the first Americans.
 
And on the subject of first Americans, I am amused and also pleased
that American Indians/First Americans have finally put themselves in
a good financial shape secondary to the casinos everywhere.
 
The little St. Croix Band of Chippewas in my home county of Wisconsin
where my work was largely pro bono, now have their own casino, and  are
doing quite well.  I'm sure they can pay for their own medical  care.
