Adding to what Jay says -- and agreeing -- sometimes the "patient" (or
parents) is/are too stressed to fully hear and digest what the medical pros
are saying to them.  A slightly cooler head can hear and even take notes
for further reference.  Offer to be there for them, Lynn!
