BBC America Channel has an ongoing series of 007 movies, and
I watched these two yesterday evening and tonight.
They are, not surprisingly, very low tech in contrast to the adventure
films now being produced, even though at the time the movies were
produced, they were probably cutting edge. I saw both of these during
my residency in dermatology at UM-Minneapolis over a half century
ago, astonishingly.
The plots for both of them move along so slowly, that I couldn't help
but feel they would never make it in our perhaps overly fast-paced world.
Still, Sir Sean Connery will always be my James Bond 007 especially
after having given him a ride from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport
to his downtown hotel once about 1984.
