Reviewing some reading from John of the Cross, and pondering our situation, I'm coming to the conclusion that God has some explaining to do. Marcy's decline seems to be more rapid of late, and the other day, she complained that she isn't retaining much. 

My most honest prayer lately is "God, go fuck yourself."
