I ended up with MRSA in my legs a couple of years ago.  There  was
a switch in antibiotics for me, too, and in the end they decided that
a sulfa drug (Septra-DS) combination was best for me.
 
It seems to have worked well.
 
However, you have been branded with this now, and if you get  hospitalized
for anything, they will put you in a single room under some sort of  hand-
washing restriction.
 
Actually that isn't a bad thing.  It's lots nicer to have your own  room 
than
to share with someone else.
