I believe he went to Saudi Arabia where she lived (having moved there 
from Pakistan) and married her there.  That country includes Mecca and 
the Saudi Royal Family are adherents of Wahhabism, a very conservative 
branch of Islam which seeks to restore a purer form of that religion.
