Just got back from an Anonymous 4 concert in nearby St. Johnsbury. It was (as one might expect) marvelous. Their voices were angelic, much as one hears on the CD’s, albeit (thankfully) without the echo those CD’s sometimes have. It was a Christmas program, with about half the pieces in Old or Middle English, several in Latin, one in Irish Gaelic, one in Cornish, and several more “modern” American tunes – Cherry Tree Carol, Star in the East, two by Wm. Billings. The venue was the North Congregational Church, which fortunately seemed to have excellent acoustics.

This is their very last concert tour – after the 22nd, they are no more. So it’s great that we finally got to see them (plus the autographed CD!).

And you all can be very jealous!
