>From Roper - St. Francis Hospitals, Charleston, SC:

The Roper St. Francis Ryan White Wellness Center hosted its first Capers H.
Limehouse Humanitarian Award banquet Dec. 10 at the Daniel Island Cub in
Charleston S.C.

Rev. Capers H. Limehouse served as a chaplain at RSF for more than 10 years
and worked with the Ryan White Program to provide love, support and hope to
people living with HIV/AIDS.

The award was created by teammates from the Ryan White Program to honor
Limehouse, who died in May 2015, said Kimberly Willis, RSF Ryan White
Wellness Center director,

“She lived to inspire others, and she was an amazing woman,” said Willis.
“Capers provided a world of love and support to everyone she came in
contact with here. And, when we finalized the award it was only natural for
us to honor her first.”

Dr. Walter Limehouse accepted the award on behalf of his wife and honored
her by reading several of her poems. Tears, laughter and witty remarks
followed each new reading.
