Thanks -- I don’t see the model number of my old JVC unit/stylus, but they say 
if one sends picture, they'll figure it out.

However, if it's the $142 stylus, I could just chuck the turntable and buy one 
of those new ones that has a USB outlet, instead of sending analog to my old 
computer to make the conversion and save it to MP3 or some such.
