[Magdalen] Holy Rain?

I can't say we have been unusually hot here in the sub-tropics, but south of us has been unusually hot and dry, with many bushfires as well. 80% of Queensland is still drought-declared, despite recent storms. A cyclone is expected in the north, with Christmas Day itself probably cooler and showery.

It's unusually mild over here as well. Christmas Eve is predicted to be
cool by current standards with a high of 11 C (52 F) and an overnight
low of 4 C (39 F). U'll be heading up to County Durham to see my son
and his family and it's expected to be a couple of degrees cooler up
there.A number of places over here install ice-rinks for around
Christmas. They had to close the one in Lincoln because the chillers on
full blast could't keep it frozen.
