Albert and I had season tickets for the first 5-6 years of Masur's reign at the 
NY Philharmonic.  We went to all Choral and New Music programs -- and enjoyed 
them a lot.

We gave up, though, when the hall started sounding like a TB ward or maybe a 
convention of people with bronchitis and smokers' cough. I remember one concert 
when he actually stopped the music because the coughing was so overwhelming.
