Well, I happen to agree with Jim on Joni Mitchell's voice, although maybe
not to that degree. I always thought her songs sounded better sung by
others. I also can't stand Iris DeMent, whose voice sounds to me like
fingernails on a chalkboard, but YMMV. Everyone's opinions are different,
of course. S/O can't stand Neil Young's voice but loves his songs; I don't
mind his voice at all.
