[Magdalen] What are we reading?

It's snowing here, so what's better than curling up with a good book? On
our trip to Sanibel we discovered a new (to us) author, Randy Wayne White,
writer of whodunits. His main character, Doc Ford, is a marine biologist
resident (of course) on the island, and his writing style is easy to read.
Not great literature, but fun. White also, in addition to crafting these
little opuses, owns three restaurants called Doc Ford's Rum Bar where the
food is pretty decent. We ate at the one on Sanibel.
