The recent repair (replacement of the valve cover gasket) apparently worked like a charm, with no more oil leaking and no more burnt smells.  But either I never really paid attention before, or there's more condensation collecting on the A/C system than ever before, because sometimes it seems like there's quite a puddle underneath when I get through with a sizeable jaunt.  It's perfectly clean, cold water, so definitely not coolant from the radiator, and the radiator level itself never, and I repeat never, goes down.  So, A/C condensation it is, so saith my mechanic.

Now all I gotta do is get it into the local car wash for a good interior cleansing.  There's still Donner Summit dirt and small rocks in the floorboard!
