My Dad -- who was a high school dropout but ran a highly-respected Hospital Lab 
on Long Island (even after retirement, the state health department would send 
him patient samples for his opinion, which would send him back to the lab for a 
day or two).

He had varying opinions of physicians who'd come to him and ask what the lab 
tests actually meant.
