Well, we once had a parish family named D'Arrigo, and they pronounced it
"Darrigo"

For years I've heard locals of every stripe refer to the D'Arrigo Bros
farming entity as "Dee-Arrigo". And since I've gone Food Network, I've
heard everyone there refer to chef Melissa D'Arabian as "Dee-Arabian". Am I
alone in wondering why no one honors the apostrophe? It's "Darrigo" and
"Darabian", phonetically speaking. (Right?)
