The Governor used to go on the air at WAMC ( one of Albany's NPR stations)
with Alan Chartock. He talked about anything they wanted to talk about. One
year, as a means of helping WMAC in its pledge drive, Mario read some short
stories about events in his life. The fund drive went virally over the top
and the talks were made available in a recording.

Reportedly, President Nixon once remarked, "Whenever Mario talks, it's
poetry. When anyone else talks, it's prose."

Had a few things gone a bit differently, we could be now mourning an
ex-president. And the country would be enormously better off.
