My first grinder was a blade type (Moulineaux) - I think I paid 25 franc
for it at the French PX in Speyer. (maybe $6.) It lasted 30 years or so.
That brand isn't made now. Then I bought a Krups burr type. Lasted 3 years
or so. It was working ok until the start button came loose and got pushed
into the innards not to be seen again. The toastmaster I have now is barely
a year old. Clogs up with every grind and the bowl is coming apart. Also
only does one grind now.
