Wow, Jim, that is just beautiful. Thank you for posting...I've shared it
with two friends who are in pastoral ministry, both in Pentecostal settings
that tend toward literalism.

In order to speak to people from that background it's necessary to adopt a
certain style of teaching that they trust, and a hermeneutic that feels
safe and familiar to them - which this writer does really well.

His logic is impeccable! I haven't sent it to people who would want to
argue with it themselves, but to those who, in their ministries, would
regular encounter so-called "scriptural" arguments against the full
ministry of women in the churches.
