Is the anger because the new Rector wants his own crew or because he wants to do 
greater ministry in the area of the parish?

IIRC, Scott, you once said that most or all of the members come some distance 
and are not involved in the neighborhood. It would seem that the Rector has the 
right idea. And a full-time organist/choirmaster would mean music at daily 
Masses?

And that's causing hurt and anger? Sounds more like a case of 
"We've-never-done-it-that-way-itis.

One would pray for the success of the new direction for the parish, while 
wishing Godspeed to those not part of the new regime.
