My new used engine is in such a state I'm having it towed to my mechanic tomorrow morning for a second opinion first, as it were, before I call the warranty people.  If mechanic (whom I trust implicitly) says even warranty people couldn't do much with it if anything, it's chucked for good, and I've already got a tentative appointment on Saturday with the Enterprise Car Sales people up in San Jose.  If I'dve only followed my mechanic's advice....
