[Magdalen] Need chairs for nave!

One Easter morning I arrived with a group large enough to fill a boat-sized
pew in the balcony at St. John's (Portsmouth, NH), built in 1811 IIRC.
I noticed a brown glob on the base of the pillar. Reached out to touch it,
and discovered it was pitch. The tree that had been felled and carved
and set in place all those years ago hadn't completely dried out yet.
