U.S. lamb is now grain-fed, which has changed the flavor. This is
supposed to make it more palatable to squeamish Americans.
New Zealand and Icelandic lamb is grass-fed and retains its
slightly gamey lamb flavor.
I used to call pepper-crusted lamb chops flash-grilled on the
charcoal fire "meat lollipops."
