My grandma from MN would buy yellow margarine when she would visit us inMI to take back home - funny childhood memory! 
Lynn who remembers grandma "mixing" margarine at her house when we visited! 
I've never liked margarine and in the early married frugal years when butter was only a luxury I did without anything on veggies or bread. I did use margarine in some baking.
